Terms of Service
The rules for having an account on The Vault, what you can share here, how moderation works and what you agree to by using the site.
Read together with the Privacy Policy.

1.Agreeing to these terms
The Vault is a community site for sharing FiveM resources: MLOs, clothing, scripts, weapons, vehicles and similar files. It is run by the people who operate this installation of the site, called “the operators”, “we” or “us” below.
You can browse and download without an account. Creating an account means you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't create an account, and delete it if you already have one.
2.Who can use The Vault
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If the law where you live sets a higher age for using online services on your own, you need a parent or guardian's permission until you reach it.
You can't use the site if you were previously banned from it, unless the operators agree to let you back.
3.Your account
- One account per person. Don't share it, sell it, or create new accounts to get around a suspension or upload restriction.
- Use an email address you control. It's used for verification and password resets and is never shown publicly.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account until you tell us it was compromised.
- You can protect your account with two-factor sign-in under Account → Security, and staff accounts must use it. Keep your backup codes somewhere safe: if you lose both your authenticator and your backup codes, staff can reset it only once they are satisfied the account is yours.
- Don't pick a username that impersonates another person, creator, team or the site's staff.
- Linking a Discord account is optional. It only lets the site read your Discord ID, username and avatar; see the Privacy Policy for details.
4.What you can upload and post
You are responsible for everything you upload, write in a description, comment or post. In particular:
- Only upload what you have the right to share. That means work you made yourself, or work whose creator lets you redistribute it. Follow its licence and credit the original authors; the licence and attribution fields exist for this.
- No malware. Nothing that harms players, servers or computers: backdoors, remote code loaders, token or credential stealers, miners, obfuscated code that hides what it does, or anything else malicious.
- No leaked, stolen or cracked paid assets. Don't upload paid resources without the seller's permission, including copies with FiveM Asset Escrow removed, bypassed or decrypted, and files taken from private or paid sources.
- No harassment or illegal content. No threats, hate, harassment, or publishing someone's personal information. No sexual content involving minors, and nothing else that is illegal to host or share.
- Describe resources honestly: what they do, what they need and what state they're in. Don't upload broken or misleading files.
- No spam, advertising or repeated duplicate posts.
Some of this is checked automatically. Executable files can't be uploaded on their own. ZIP archives are inspected without being unpacked, and ones that contain executables are flagged on the resource page. Where a scanner is configured, files are also scanned for malware. Passing those checks doesn't mean a file is allowed: these rules still apply.
Where it's switched on, you can post comments and forum posts anonymously. That hides your name from other members, not from moderators and administrators, and these rules apply to anonymous posts exactly as to any other.
5.Downloads and unverified resources
Depending on the site's settings, a new upload from a regular member either goes live straight away marked Unverified or waits until a moderator reviews it. Uploads from trusted creators are published as verified without waiting for review.
You download and run resources at your own risk, especially unverified ones. A “Verified” badge means a moderator or a trusted creator was satisfied with it at that time; it is not a guarantee that the files are safe, legal to use, or work. “No threats found” means a scanner found nothing, not that a file is clean, and “Not scanned” means no scan ran at all. Read code before running it and test on a development server first.
The requirements shown on a resource page (frameworks, dependencies, game and escrow protection) are read automatically from its manifest and scripts, and the script check only looks for known risky patterns. Both can be wrong or incomplete.
6.Moderation
Moderators review uploads and reports. They can approve, request changes to, reject, remove or restore resources; remove comments and forum posts; lock threads; restrict an account's uploads; and suspend accounts. Nobody can approve their own upload. Each action is recorded with who took it and when, and the person affected is usually told about it, often with a reason.
We don't review everything before it appears and we aren't obliged to keep any particular content up. We may remove content or act on an account whenever we believe it breaks these terms or puts other people at risk.
7.Reports and takedown requests
If something breaks these terms, use the Report button on the resource, comment, forum post or profile. Reporting needs an account; moderators see every report and the reporter is told when it has been handled.
If you own the rights to something uploaded here without permission, you can send a takedown notice, in the style of a US DMCA notice, to the contact below. Please include:
- the work you own, and a link to where it is officially published if there is one;
- the link to each page on The Vault that you want removed;
- your name and a way to reach you;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised by you, your agent or the law;
- a statement that the notice is accurate and that you own the rights or may act for the owner;
- your full name as a signature.
We remove or hide material when a notice is complete and credible, and may tell the uploader who asked. An uploader who believes the removal was a mistake can reply through the same contact with an explanation. Accounts that repeatedly upload other people's work will be suspended.
For takedown notices, email [email protected].
8.Your content and the licence you give us
You keep whatever rights you have in what you upload and write. So that the site can work, you give the operators a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and display it and make it available for download through The Vault. “Process” covers things the site does automatically: inspecting archives, scanning files and scripts, reading manifests to show requirements, re-encoding images, and building file previews and 3D views from your files.
The licence lasts while the content is on the site, and afterwards only for the copies kept for moderation and records as described in the Privacy Policy. People who download your resources get only the rights you state in its licence field; the site doesn't grant them anything more.
9.No affiliation
The Vault is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, Cfx.re or FiveM. Grand Theft Auto and related names are trademarks of their owners. Running FiveM servers and resources is subject to those companies' own terms, which are your responsibility to follow.
10.Leaving and termination
You can delete your account at any time from Account → Settings. What is removed and what is kept is set out in the Privacy Policy.
We may restrict, suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, harms other users or the site, or is used to evade an earlier restriction. Suspended accounts can't sign in.
11.Disclaimers
The Vault is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. Resources are made by users, not by the operators, and we don't promise that any of them are safe, accurate, legal to use where you are, or will keep working. The site may change, go offline or lose data, so keep your own copies of anything you upload.
12.Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, the operators are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, lost profits, or damage caused by resources you download or by other users' content and behaviour. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.
13.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and the Privacy Policy. When we do, the date at the top changes and signed-in users are asked to accept the new version. Until you accept, you can still browse and download, but you can't upload, edit resources, comment, post or file reports. If you don't agree with a change, stop using your account and delete it.
